James Madison University’s lacrosse team remains ranked at No. 25 in the latest Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division I Coaches’ Poll, according to an April 27 announcement.

The poll reflects JMU’s continued presence among the top teams nationally, as the Dukes also held the No. 25 position last week.

This ranking follows a recent victory over Old Dominion with a score of 14-9, marking JMU’s fifth conference win and extending their winning streak to five games at the close of the regular season. The Dukes are currently the only team from the American Conference to appear in this week’s top 25 rankings.

JMU leads its league in several categories including total points, assists per game, ground balls per game, and caused turnovers per game.

Looking ahead, James Madison will compete against third-seeded East Carolina in Nashville during the semifinals of the 2026 American Women’s Lacrosse Championship at FirstBank Stadium on Thursday, April 30. The match is scheduled for an 8:15 p.m. start and will be streamed on ESPN+.
