Jaclyn LaHa is tied for eighth place individually after leading the Virginia Cavaliers women’s golf team in the second round of the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional on May 12.

LaHa shot an even-par 70 in her second round, following a first-round score of 1-under 69. After two rounds, she has a combined score of 1-under 139 and shares eighth place on the individual leaderboard.

Elsie McCleery recorded a score of three-over-par 73 in her second round, bringing her total to even-par 140 through two rounds. She is currently tied for twelfth individually. As a team, Virginia posted a combined score of thirteen-over-par 293 in the second round and sits at fourteen-over-par 574 overall, which places them sixth heading into the final day of competition.

The top five teams after Wednesday’s third round will advance to the NCAA Championships along with the top six individuals not on an advancing team. Virginia trails Mississippi State by five strokes for fifth place above the projected cut line. Texas leads at ten-under-par (550), followed by North Carolina at six-under (554).

For Wednesday’s final round, Virginia will be paired with NC State and Mississippi State, teeing off from the tenth hole beginning at 8 a.m.
