Weather conditions permitting, the Virginia Department of Transportation has announced closures of ramps from northbound I-95 to Fairfax County Parkway (Route 286, Exit 166) for paving. The closures are scheduled for three consecutive nights starting Tuesday, May 27.

The closure schedule is as follows:

On Tuesday night, May 27, from 11 p.m. until Wednesday morning at 4 a.m., the ramp from northbound I-95 to southbound Fairfax County Parkway (Exit 166A to Newington/Fort Belvoir) will be closed.

On Wednesday night, May 28, both the ramp to southbound Fairfax County Parkway and the ramp to northbound Fairfax County Parkway (Exit 166B to Backlick Road and Fullerton Road) will be closed from 11 p.m. until Thursday morning at 4 a.m.

Finally, on Thursday night, May 29, the closure will affect only the ramp to northbound Fairfax County Parkway from 11 p.m. until Friday morning at 4 a.m.

During these times, traffic on northbound I-95 will be redirected via the Lorton Road (Route 642, Exit 163) interchange. This detour point is situated three miles before reaching the Fairfax County Parkway interchange.
