Weather permitting, the ramp from northbound I-95 to Lorton Road (Route 642, Exit 163) will be closed for paving. The Virginia Department of Transportation announced that this closure is scheduled from 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, until 4 a.m. on Friday, May 9.

During the closure, traffic will be rerouted via northbound I-95 and northbound Fairfax County Parkway (Exit 166B), then onto Route 286 to Backlick Road and Fullerton Road, before returning southbound on I-95 back to Lorton Road. Drivers are advised to follow posted detour signs.
