BRISTOL – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has announced a temporary closure of the I-81 southbound exit 10 on-ramp in Washington County. This closure is due to ongoing construction work.

The scheduled closure will take place from 10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, until approximately 6 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16. The purpose is to facilitate a traffic shift within the work zone between exits 10 and 7.

During this time, drivers should expect changes in the traffic pattern near exit 10, with southbound traffic shifting to the left.

Motorists are advised to remain alert, follow all posted signs, and exercise caution when traveling through the work zone.
