The Virginia Department of Transportation announced on March 26 that the northbound right lane of Interstate 81 near Natural Bridge in Rockbridge County will be closed from 8 p.m. Monday, March 30, through 7 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, to allow for guardrail repairs.
The northbound off-ramp onto Route 11 at Exit 180 will also be closed during this period. These closures are necessary so crews can repair guardrail that was damaged in a tractor trailer crash earlier in the week. All work is dependent on weather conditions and schedules may change.
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Customer Service Center operates around the clock to help roadway users report hazards, make service requests or get information about Virginia’s transportation network. The public can access these services through VDOT’s mobile-friendly website or by calling their hotline at 800-367-7623.
