The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has announced that, weather permitting, there will be lane closures on northbound I-395 and the 395 Express Lanes at Edsall Road (Route 648/Exit 2) in Springfield from Friday night, March 6, through Sunday morning, March 8. The closures are necessary for bridge work.
The scheduled lane closures at the Edsall Road interchange are as follows:
– Northbound I-395 general purpose left lane: from 10 p.m. Friday, March 6, to 7 a.m. Saturday, March 7.
– Southbound 395 Express Lanes left lane: from 10 p.m. Friday, March 6, to 9 a.m. Saturday, March 7.
– Northbound I-395 general purpose left lane: from 10 p.m. Saturday, March 7, to 11 a.m. Sunday, March 8.
– Northbound 395 Express Lanes right lane: from 10 p.m. Saturday, March 7, to 11 a.m. Sunday, March 8.
Drivers are advised to exercise caution while traveling through active work zones and to stay alert for new traffic patterns and limit distractions.
