The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has reopened Route 714 (Horseshoe Farm Road) in Louisa County following the completion of a bridge replacement project. The Louisa bridge crew installed a new concrete box culvert, replacing the previous steel beam timber deck structure. According to VDOT, the updated bridge can now safely accommodate all legal loads and offers a clear roadway width of 20 feet, 11 inches.
