Scheduled traffic closures in the Hampton Roads District for July 13-19, 2025, have been announced by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). The alert includes information on full closures of interstates, ramps, bridges, and primary roads. Lane closures at bridge-tunnels and major bridges such as Berkley, Coleman, High Rise, and James River are also listed.
Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel on I-664 will experience single-lane closures northbound from July 14-16 between 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., along with alternating mobile lane closures from July 14-17. Berkley Bridge on I-264 will have single-lane closures westbound from July 14-15 between 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.
In Chesapeake, full ramp closures are scheduled from I-64 west to I-464 north (exit 291A) during nighttime hours from July 14-18. In Virginia Beach, there will be full on-ramp closures from Indian River Road to I-64 east from July 13-17 between 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
