A section of Hampton Park Boulevard in Chesterfield County will be closed for stormwater drainage and sidewalk repairs, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). The closure will affect Route 5191 between Hampton Park Drive (Route 5190) and Hampton Summit Lane (Route 5199).
The work is scheduled to take place from Monday, November 10 through Friday, November 14, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., depending on weather conditions. VDOT has stated that homeowners in the area will still have access to their properties during this period.
VDOT has provided detour routes for both northbound and southbound traffic. Northbound drivers should use Hampton Park Drive, Otterdale Road (Route 667), Hampton Glen Lane (Route 5245), Hampton Glen Drive (Route 5195), Hampton Summit Drive (Route 5240), and Hampton Summit Lane to return to Hampton Park Boulevard. Southbound motorists are advised to follow the reverse route using these same roads.
Anyone with questions about the project can contact VDOT’s customer service center at 800-FOR-ROAD (800-367-7623).
