Virginia Tech’s Arina Gamretkaia and Özlem Uslu were named to the women’s tennis All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Doubles Third Team on April 23, following their performance during the 2025-26 season.

The recognition comes after the pair completed their senior campaigns with two doubles wins at the ACC Championship, bringing their total to 13 wins for the season. The duo began March ranked No. 51 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll, reached as high as No. 44, and are currently ranked No. 52.

Among their achievements this season was a top-five win over Melodie Collard and Vivian Yang of Virginia, who were ranked No. 4 at the time of their match on February 18. The pair also recorded another win against a ranked opponent during the year.

Gamretkaia and Uslu are now Virginia Tech’s first postseason conference honorees since Uslu made All-ACC Second Team in her freshman year. They also make history as the first doubles team from Virginia Tech to earn ACC postseason honors.

Other teams recognized include Reese Brantmeier and Alanis Hamilton from North Carolina, Victoria Osuigwe and Gabriella Broadfoot from NC State, Melodie Collard and Vivian Yang from Virginia on First-Team; Shavit Kimchi and Irina Balus from Duke, Oby Kajuru and Susanna Maltby from North Carolina, Amelie Van Impe and Caroline McGinley from SMU on Second-Team; Bianca Molnar and Bojana Pozder from Notre Dame, Annabelle Xu and Martina Genis Salas from Virginia joining Gamretkaia and Uslu on Third-Team.
