The Fredericksburg District has announced a series of roadworks scheduled from May 11 to May 17, 2025. These projects will involve various closures and traffic adjustments across multiple counties, including Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, and others.

On Interstate 95 Northbound at Exit 110 (Ladysmith Road), alternating lane closures are planned from Sunday to Thursday between mile markers 110-111 for milling and paving. The ramps at this exit will be closed on Thursday night. Travelers are advised to use Route 1 to Exit 118 as a detour.

In the City of Fredericksburg, work on Bridgewater Street and Fall Hill Avenue will cause alternating lane closures during weekdays. Flaggers will manage traffic flow in these areas.

Gloucester County’s Route 17 Business (Main Street) will experience nighttime lane closures for bridge repairs from Sunday through Thursday. Similarly, King George County’s Route 3 (Kings Highway) is set for daytime paving work throughout the week.

King William County will see extensive resurfacing efforts on Route 360 Westbound with both day and night operations. Additionally, Lancaster County is conducting secondary road resurfacing on several routes during the week.

Spotsylvania County has significant projects underway, including road improvements related to the Kalahari Resorts & Conventions development along Route 1. Single and double lane closures are expected between I-95 southbound off-ramp and Southpoint Parkway during nighttime hours.

Additional construction activities include bridge replacements in Caroline County and intersection improvements in Gloucester County. The Virginia Department of Transportation continues its work across the region with varying project completion dates extending into late summer of next year.
