The University of Richmond women’s tennis team had four student-athletes named to the 2026 Atlantic 10 Women’s Tennis All-Conference teams, the league office announced on May 11.
This recognition highlights the team’s strong performance during the season and individual achievements by several players. Earning spots on all-conference teams is considered a significant honor in collegiate athletics.
Sofia Barbulescu was selected for First Team All-Conference honors for the second consecutive year. Abby Lee also earned her first career selection to the First Team, while Lucy Webber received Second Team All-Conference recognition for the first time. Beatriz Guerra was recognized as an All-Conference Second Team honoree after her rookie season.
Barbulescu played exclusively at No. 1 singles throughout the dual season, recording eight dual-match victories and finishing with four wins in her last five matches. Her notable performances included a three-set win over Davidson’s Savanna Kollock and straight-set victories against Old Dominion’s Victoria Matasova and Liberty’s Daniella O’Neill. In conference play, she competed at No. 1 singles in all matches and contributed to Richmond’s 3-1 league record.
Lee posted an 11-9 dual singles record, remaining unbeaten in conference singles matches with a perfect mark of three wins. She also recorded a doubles record of seven wins alongside Guerra and was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week earlier this season.
Webber led Richmond with a 12-7 dual singles record during her junior year, competing mostly at positions three through five. She achieved a five-match winning streak mid-season and secured key victories over opponents from Cal State Fullerton, UC Irvine, Georgetown, UNC Greensboro, Campbell, CSUN, East Carolina, Rhode Island, and VCU.
Guerra made an immediate impact as a freshman by posting a seven-win singles record while going undefeated in conference play at positions five and six. She delivered important victories against VCU, East Carolina, Rhode Island, and Davidson late in the season while also contributing to doubles success with Lee.
