Ned Ryun, founder of American Majority, emphasized the importance of early voting in Virginia’s upcoming election. He described the election as having significant ideological stakes and warned of a threat from “far-left extremism.”
“Virginia’s future is on the ballot this year,” said Ryun. “Early voting begins September 19th, and every voice matters in deciding whether we move toward common sense solutions or far-left extremism.”
According to the Virginia Department of Elections, Tuesday, November 4, 2025, marks the election for governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, all 100 seats in the House of Delegates, and numerous local positions. Early in-person voting will open on September 19, 2025, and continue through November 1, 2025.
The 2025 Virginia gubernatorial race is notable for featuring two female major-party nominees—Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears and Democrat Abigail Spanberger—marking a historic first for the state. If elected, Earle-Sears would become the first Black woman governor in U.S. history. Her campaign focuses on tax relief, school choice, and conservative social values. According to her website, she has proposed eliminating the state’s personal property tax on vehicles and highlights previous Republican-led efforts that she says delivered $9 billion in tax relief to Virginians. Earle-Sears advocates for expanding charter schools, lab schools, and virtual learning while opposing critical race theory in classrooms.
Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares is seeking a second term in the 2025 general election with a platform centered on public safety, legal accountability, and election integrity. Miyares has led several high-profile initiatives during his tenure including Operation Ceasefire to combat gun violence and securing settlements for opioid addiction recovery programs and environmental issues with Monsanto. He has also pursued civil rights enforcement successfully winning a record $750,000 fair housing judgment for Black families wrongfully evicted. On elections, he has taken a firm stance against misinformation saying that “in Virginia, it should be easy to vote and hard to cheat.”
