A soldier stationed at Fort Eustis has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for coercion and enticement of a minor. Court documents state that Brady Beck Fant, 32, used social media to engage in sexually explicit conversations with underage girls. He also received and sent sexually graphic images and videos involving minors.

The North Texas Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) taskforce identified Fant during their investigation. Law enforcement later seized his electronic devices, where they found child sexual abuse material.

An Other Than Honorable Discharge from the United States Army is pending for Fant.

The Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division’s Washington Field Office led the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Devon E.A. Heath prosecuted the case.

“This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Led by U.S. Attorney’s Offices and the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS), Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to better locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims. For more information about Project Safe Childhood, please visit www.justice.gov/psc,” according to the press release.

Further details on this case can be found on the website of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia or through PACER by searching Case No. 4:25-cr-58.
