FOIA Request to State Council of Higher Education for Virginia regarding all VA public University employee salaries FY2025 on January 12, 2026.

A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was submitted by Old Dominion News to the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia. The request seeks detailed records concerning employee compensation for individuals employed by Virginia public universities during Fiscal Year 2025. The requested information includes a comprehensive list of data fields such as employee names, gender, age or year of birth, date of birth, university name, department, employer name, title or position, hire date, compensation amount (including base pay and any additional pay), compensation type (e.g., salary, hourly wage), and employment type (full-time or part-time).

The purpose of this request is to obtain information that will assist in reporting news related to governmental affairs and ensuring transparency within public institutions. As part of the media organization Old Dominion News, we are committed to holding public institutions accountable and providing accurate news coverage to the public.
