Fairfax County Public Schools announced on April 21 that it will host a virtual job fair for special education and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) teachers on Saturday, May 2. The event will take place online from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The job fair is aimed at attracting educators with strong student engagement skills who are interested in making a positive impact in school communities. The district is seeking candidates passionate about teaching in the areas of special education and STEM.
According to Fairfax County Public Schools, participants in the virtual event will have opportunities to network with school leaders, participate in on-site interviews with representatives from the district, explore various teaching positions available within the system, and learn more about local school communities.
All applicants selected for employment must meet Virginia Department of Education licensure requirements. By the contract start date for any offered position, candidates must either hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license.
Additional information about individual schools—including their websites, profiles, and locations—as well as details regarding current teaching opportunities can be found through Fairfax County Public Schools resources. Those with questions are encouraged to contact the FCPS Department of Human Resources via its online web portal or by calling 571-423-3000.
