The Fairfax County Police Department announced on April 16 a series of community events taking place across the county in the coming week. The department is offering programs, meetings, and presentations aimed at building partnerships and supporting public safety efforts.
These activities are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships between police and residents, promote crime prevention, and provide educational opportunities. Events include the Jaguar 5K in Falls Church, Healthy Kids Day at the YMCA in Reston, a Spring Fling at Hybla Valley Community Center in Alexandria, a nature walk with a police officer in Annandale, Taste of Israel in Fairfax, and several community meetings such as the Police and Faith Quarterly Community Meeting and Personal Safety Presentation.
Residents can also attend a Senior Safety Summit in McLean or participate in local advisory committee meetings. The department encourages those interested to contact their local district station or email fcpdOutreach@fairfaxcounty.gov for more information. Updates are also available by signing up on Nextdoor or subscribing to district station newsletters under Public Safety.
The department highlights additional ways for residents to get involved, including registering security cameras with Connect Fairfax County to assist investigations. Those interested in joining the police force can learn more by visiting the department’s website.
Community members are encouraged to stay connected through various platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram at @FairfaxCountyPD.
