The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has announced the reopening of Evergreen Church Road (Route 615) in Greene County. This follows the successful replacement of a failed drainage pipe beneath the road.
Work on the project began on Monday, July 7, and crews have now completed the necessary repairs. The road was reopened to traffic on Tuesday, July 15.
During the repair work, a detour was in place via Route 810 (Dyke Road) and Route 650 (Mount Olivet Road). With the completion of repairs, normal traffic patterns have resumed.
For local updates regarding conditions in VDOT’s Culpeper District, information is available on X.com/VaDOTCulp and the Culpeper District Facebook page.
