Crews from the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) are scheduled to perform emergency repairs on a bridge along Interstate 64 over Moore’s Creek in Albemarle County tonight.

The work will take place between 9 p.m. and midnight. During this time, the acceleration lane onto I-64 eastbound from U.S. 29 (Bypass), both northbound and southbound, will be shortened so that workers can repair a bridge joint just east of mile marker 118.

Drivers using this ramp are advised to use caution and remain alert for workers near the travel lanes.
