Eight members of the William & Mary men’s gymnastics team will compete as individual qualifiers at the NCAA Championships hosted by Illinois, according to an April 15 announcement. The event’s first pre-qualifying session is scheduled for Friday at 1 p.m. Central Time, with finals set for Saturday at 6 p.m.

The competition provides an opportunity for individual gymnasts to advance based on their performances in the pre-qualifying sessions. Both sessions will be broadcast on ESPN+, and Saturday’s finals will air on ESPN2. Live scores will be available online through FightingIllini.com.

According to event guidelines, the top three individual finishers in all-around and each event during each pre-qualifying session who are not already qualified with a team or as an all-around competitor will move forward to Saturday’s finals. In those finals, the top eight competitors in all-around and each event will earn All-America honors.

Representing William & Mary are Luke Tully (all-around), Niko Greenly (floor, vault, parallel bars), Gavin Zborowski (pommel horse, rings), Ricky Pizem (vault, high bar), Michael Weiner (floor), Jonathan Irwin (rings), Nicholas Kosarikov (parallel bars) and Evan Wilkins (high bar). Alternates include Pizem (pommel horse), Wilkins (parallel bars), Sam Smith (pommel horse) and Evan Sikra (high bar).

Tully leads the group with a fourth-place national ranking in all-around scoring and also ranks among the top 25 nationally on high bar, floor exercise, and vault. Greenly is ranked 21st nationally on floor exercise while Irwin holds a top-25 ranking on rings.

The participation of these athletes highlights both individual achievement and ongoing program strength as they look ahead to potential All-America honors during this championship weekend.
