The Virginia Department of Transportation announced on Mar. 20 that the eastbound Edsall Road (Route 648) ramp to northbound Interstate 395 will be narrowed to one lane starting Monday, March 23 at 9:30 a.m. The restriction will remain in place continuously through Friday, April 24 as crews conduct joint repairs on the bridges carrying the ramp over Edsall Road and I-395.

The work is expected to impact drivers who use this route, and officials are urging motorists to stay alert and exercise caution while traveling through the work zone on the bridge. The department said that up-to-date traffic, work zone, and incident information is available online at 511.vdot.virginia.gov, via the free mobile 511Virginia app, or by calling 511 within Virginia.
