A contractor for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close the eastbound lane of Old Ivy Road between Faulconer Drive and U.S. 29/250 bypass in Albemarle County tonight, Thursday, July 10, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The closure is due to bridge construction work.

Traffic will be redirected via a signed detour onto U.S. Business 250 (Ivy Road) to connect with Route 601 (Old Ivy Road), approximately 0.7 miles east of the bridge. Drivers heading north can then turn onto Route 601 to reach U.S. 29 (Seminole Trail).

Drivers are urged to exercise caution in the area and adhere to all posted detour signs. The work schedule is subject to weather conditions.
