Weather permitting, East Marshall Street in Middleburg will face daytime closures on June 10, 11, and 12. According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, the closure is necessary for drainage pipe replacement at the intersection with North Jay Street.

Access will be available for those traveling to properties on East Marshall Street between North Jay Street and North Pinckney Street. However, turning from or onto North Jay Street at the eastern side of the intersection will not be possible.

A detour will redirect through traffic via North Jay Street, East Washington Street (Route 50), and North Pinckney Street back to East Marshall Street. Drivers are advised to follow posted detour signs.

The department reminds drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians to exercise caution in active work zones by staying alert to new traffic patterns and minimizing distractions.

Traffic updates and information about work zones can be accessed online at 511.vdot.virginia.gov, through the free mobile app 511Virginia, or by calling 511 within Virginia.
