Virginia men’s tennis junior Dylan Dietrich was named the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Men’s Tennis Player of the Year, according to an announcement on April 23 by the conference.

Dietrich also earned spots on both the All-ACC First Team for singles and two doubles teams. Sophomore Keegan Rice joined him on the All-ACC First Team for singles, while freshman Andres Santamarta Roig received third-team recognition.

Dietrich currently leads the ITA singles rankings after finishing with a perfect 9-0 record in conference singles matches and a 19-1 overall dual match season. He posted a 5-3 mark in ACC doubles play and was recognized three times as ACC Player of the Week. In doubles, he received first-team honors alongside senior Måns Dahlberg and third-team honors with sophomore Stiles Brockett.

Rice earned his first All-ACC singles honor, leading Virginia in conference victories with a perfect 10-0 record and going 16-2 overall this season. Santamarta Roig also picked up his first All-ACC honor, remaining undefeated in conference play at 8-0 after joining the team in January.

As a doubles pair, Dietrich and Dahlberg won all twelve fall matches to become NCAA Doubles Champions. They added one more dual match victory to remain unbeaten at 13-0 together and are ranked No.12 nationally by ITA. Dietrich and Brockett went 9-4 across courts one and two this year with four wins over ranked opponents.

All-conference selections were determined by votes from league head coaches.
