The Virginia Department of Transportation announced on April 3 that Dick Huff Lane (Route 940), the main access road to the Augusta County Government Center in Verona, will be closed from 8:30 a.m. Friday, April 10, through no later than 8 a.m. Monday, April 13. The closure is scheduled to allow for railroad crossing maintenance.
During this period, the public can reach the government center by using the southern entrance off Route 11 (Lee Highway) next to the Augusta County Sheriff’s office, located about two-tenths of a mile south of Dick Huff Lane. Employees may also use this entrance or access the facility from Technology Drive at the rear.
