The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has announced a complete closure of Route 616, known as Dam Town Road, in Augusta County. The closure will take place on Thursday, June 26, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., affecting the stretch between Route 777 (Knightly Lane) and Route 926 (River Bend Road).
The purpose of the closure is to allow crews to repair a hole in the road surface over a box culvert at this location. VDOT has stated that all work is dependent on weather conditions.
