CSX will close two Chesterfield railroad crossings for repairs beginning March 9

CSX plans to close two railroad crossings in Chesterfield County for repairs, according to a recent announcement. The closures will affect Route 1622 (Brinkley Road) and Route 611 (Kingsland Road), starting Monday, March 9 at 6 a.m. Both roads are expected to reopen by Wednesday, March 11 at 5 p.m., weather permitting.

Drivers are advised to use the posted detour routes during the closure period. For Brinkley Road, westbound traffic should travel south on Route 145 (Chester Road), west on Route 2001 (Old Lane), north on Route 637 (Hopkins Road), east on Route 1452 (Thurston Road) to Route 1620 (Dorsey Road), and return to Brinkley Road. Eastbound drivers should go west on Route 1620 (Dorsey Road) to Route 1452 (Thurston Road), south on Route 637 (Hopkins Road), east on Route 2001 (Old Lane), north on Route 145 (Chester Road), and back to Brinkley Road.

For Kingsland Road, westbound traffic is directed south on Route 145 (Chester Road), west on Route 2001 (Old Lane), north on Route 637 (Hopkins Road), and east on Route 611 (Kingsland Road). Eastbound vehicles should travel west on Route 611 (Kingsland Road), south on Route 637 (Hopkins Road), east on Route 2001(Old Lane), north on Route 145 (Chester Road), and return to Kingsland Road.
