Upcoming CSX railroad maintenance will result in the temporary closure of Route 605 (Paige Road) in Caroline County. The closure is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. on Monday, March 17, and is expected to last until approximately 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 22.

The affected section of Paige Road is located at the rail crossing between the Mattaponi River bridge and Roy Brooks Lane. This maintenance work is contingent on weather conditions.

Travelers can access real-time updates regarding the road’s status through 511Virginia. During the closure, signs will direct motorists to follow a recommended detour that includes Route 1, Route 639 (Ladysmith Road), Route 207 (Rogers Clark Boulevard), and Route 2 (Fredericksburg Turnpike/Main Street).
