Weather permitting, Chowan Avenue in Lincolnia will undergo daytime lane closures from March 31 to April 3, as announced by the Virginia Department of Transportation. The closures will take place between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day to facilitate drainage pipe replacement.

Access will be maintained for individuals needing to reach properties along Chowan Avenue. However, traffic will not be allowed beyond the pipe replacement located just north of the intersection of Chowan Avenue and Fifth Street in either direction.

A detour will guide through traffic via Fifth Street, Cherokee Avenue, and Third Street, circling back to Chowan Avenue.
