Weather permitting, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will implement a temporary closure on a section of Route 746 (Ruffin Mill Road) in Chesterfield County. The affected stretch lies between Route 932 (Ashton Park Drive) and Route 617 (Ramblewood Road). This closure is scheduled for maintenance work and will occur from Tuesday, June 24, through Friday, June 27. Each day, the road will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
VDOT assures that the road will reopen each night after the day’s work is completed. Homeowners in the area will still have access to their properties during this period.
Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour routes:
For northbound traffic: Drivers should proceed north on Route 620 (Woods Edge Road), then head south on Route 617 (Ramblewood Road) to reach Ruffin Mill Road.
For southbound traffic: Drivers should go north on Route 617 (Ramblewood Road), then continue south on Route 620 (Woods Edge Road) to Ruffin Mill Road.
