Chesterfield County Public Schools announced on April 14 that it will hold the nation’s first student fair focused on generative artificial intelligence. The event, called the Gen AI Student Fair, is scheduled for April 23 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Deep Creek Middle School.

The fair aims to show how students are using generative AI in a variety of projects. According to the school district, projects will include study buddies, cancer research, recipe creation and more. Students’ work will be displayed in a showcase area and presented during sessions similar to TED Talks.

Organizers say everyone is invited to attend this free event. The fair will take place at Deep Creek Middle School, located at 17151 Westerleigh Parkway.

The district also encourages attendees to learn more about both the Gen AI Student Fair and an upcoming regional summit planned for this fall.

By hosting this event, Chesterfield County Public Schools seeks to highlight student innovation and encourage community engagement with new technologies like artificial intelligence.
