Chas Tiggle, an electronics technician foreman with Facilities, was honored as the “Yay of the Day” recipient by Superintendent Amy Cashwell on May 15. The recognition highlights his dedication to resolving classroom phone issues and supporting team members within Henrico County Public Schools.

The acknowledgment underscores the importance of staff who contribute to safe and effective learning environments. According to a nomination from Paul Duty, “We have had several phone issues causing some classroom safety concerns, and Chas did not stop until we had a plan of action, a long-term solution and our problems were resolved. Chaz will go the extra mile to provide excellent customer service and team support, he is always available to answer your calls and address your concerns. He will never tell you that he just doesn’t know the answer. He will help you find the answer and resolve your issues, even if it is not his department’s responsibility. He is an awesome team player.”

Superintendent Cashwell expressed appreciation for Tiggle’s efforts: “Thank you for all you do, Chas Tiggle, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!”
