Chapel Road in Clifton will be closed to through traffic for three days next week, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. The closure is scheduled from Monday, May 19, to Wednesday, May 21, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. each day.

The section affected is between Main Street (Route 645) and Water Street as crews work on replacing a drainage pipe. Access will remain available for properties along Chapel Road, but direct turns onto or from Main Street will not be possible during this period.

Drivers are advised to follow the posted detour signs for alternate routes. For updates on traffic conditions and work zones, information can be accessed online at 511.vdot.virginia.gov, through the free mobile app 511Virginia, or by calling 511 within Virginia.
