The Virginia Department of Transportation announced on Mar. 26 that the southbound exit 45 on ramp to Interstate 81 in Marion will be closed from 7 a.m. Monday, March 30 through approximately noon Friday, April 3 due to a sewer line project in the Town of Marion.
The closure is expected to affect traffic flow in the area, and motorists are advised to plan alternate routes during this period. In addition to the ramp closure, drivers should be aware of lane closures on Route 16 eastbound for repairs.
