Weather permitting, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) plans to close the bridge over Deep Creek on Route 615 (Namozine Road) in Amelia County. The closure is necessary for bridge improvement work and will affect the section between Route 614 (Dennisville Road) and Route 153 (Military Road).
Motorists are advised to follow a detour during this period. For eastbound traffic, drivers should travel west on Namozine Road, then north on Route 614 (Dennisville Road), continue east on Route 608 (Little Patrick Road), proceed south on Route 153 (Military Road), and return to Namozine Road. Westbound traffic should travel east on Namozine Road, head north on Route 153 (Military Road), go west on Route 608 (Little Patrick Road), move south on Route 614 (Dennisville Road), and back to Namozine Road.
