Lane closures and traffic stoppages will take place on I-495 in McLean from February 20 to March 15. These disruptions are scheduled during overnight hours, weather permitting, as crews work to demolish the retired Old Dominion Drive bridge over I-495. This follows the recent opening of a new bridge built under the 495 NEXT project.

The lane closures will occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m., Monday through Friday nights. Traffic stoppages lasting up to 30 minutes each are expected between midnight and 5 a.m.

Drivers should exercise caution and anticipate potential delays when traveling through this area. If there is inclement weather or other issues, the work may be rescheduled or extended.
