The Coastal Athletic Association announced on May 5 that Hampton University softball players Riley Bohanon and Carmynn Bonner have been selected to the 2026 All-CAA second team.

This recognition highlights the achievements of both athletes during the season. The announcement is significant for Hampton, as it marks continued success for its players in conference honors.

Bohanon, a sophomore from Farmington Hills, Michigan, was named to the second team at first base. She finished with a .368 batting average overall and led her team in several offensive categories during conference play, including batting average (.394), hits (26), and doubles (3). Bohanon ended her season with a nine-game hitting streak and recorded 11 multi-hit games. Her top performances included going 4-for-5 against Charleston on April 18 and three-hit games against UMES, North Carolina A&T, and George Mason.

Bonner, a senior outfielder from Dayton, Ohio, concluded her career by becoming the fifteenth player in program history to reach 100 career runs batted in. This milestone was achieved during a doubleheader against Campbell on April 25. Bonner posted a .409 batting average this season and ranked among the top fifteen in several CAA statistical categories such as slugging percentage (.617), OPS (1.057), hits (52), doubles (10), RBIs (31), and on-base percentage (.440). She also led her team with eleven multi-hit games and ten multi-RBI games while maintaining a nine-game hitting streak.

Bonner’s standout performances included going four-for-four against Campbell on March 8 and driving in five runs with a home run versus South Carolina State on February 13. Over her career at Hampton, she finished among the program’s top ten all-time leaders in eight different categories including third place for doubles (45), fifth for hits (196), and tied fourth for games started (181).

The recognition of Bohanon and Bonner underscores their impact within both their team and conference competition.
