Liberty University announced on May 1 that junior outfielder Paige Doerr and sophomore pitcher Camden Anders have been selected for the 2026 Conference USA Softball All-Academic Team.
This recognition highlights both academic achievement and athletic performance. Doerr, from Coburg, Oregon, maintains a perfect 4.0 grade point average as a law and policy major. Anders, originally from Valdosta, Georgia, also holds a 4.0 GPA while studying business administration.
Doerr is among four players who have earned spots on the CUSA All-Academic Team in both 2025 and 2026. She has transitioned successfully to center field this season, leading her team with eight outfield assists—seven of which occurred during conference play—and has posted strong offensive numbers including a .292 batting average in conference games.
Anders joined Liberty after transferring from Georgia Tech and quickly became the pitching staff’s ace. In conference play she has recorded a 9-3 win-loss record with a 2.34 earned run average (ERA), one shutout no-hitter, and ranks fourth in CUSA for ERA as well as ninth for opponents’ batting average against her. She is tied for second place in conference-only saves with three.
Conference USA will announce its All-Conference, All-Freshman, and major award winners on Tuesday. The Lady Flames currently hold an overall record of 24-27 (16-9 CUSA) as they continue their series at Kennesaw State.
